Your message, my pipes
A writer might be your best talker
I’ve been a business writer for many years. I understand nuance, inflection, and emphasis – and the strategy behind it. It’s knowing about how people read, about how they listen – and about how they think.

OK, so I’m kinda new to this
… but I’m ready to roll
After years of hearing, “hey, you’ve got a great voice” and even a couple of pinch-hits on commercial recordings, I’m launching into voice acting …
… jumping in with both feet
…and hands, and mouth, with professional voice training, a few acting classes, and practice practice practice.
… because I’m a professional communicator
Ever since earning a journalism degree (Syracuse University/Newhouse School), I’ve worked in marketing communications and publishing, including multimedia creation.
… now with a real sound studio
And not just a walk-in clothes closet. I’m serious about this, with a sound booth that’s TWICE as big as a refrigerator, equipped with a Sennheiser MKE600 shotgun mic, a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2G4 4th Gen USB Audio Interface, and an sE Electronics Dual Mic Pop Shield that I call the Black Mirror.
… with a long history of client service
… because preparation, punctuality, sometimes working late and long to hit deadlines – is what clients need and have every reason to expect.
… and I take direction
The freelance business writer is never actually free. Working writers compose to client needs, goals, dreams, and whims. You get there by listening, thinking, and adjusting as the project advances – to achieve perfection. Authors and producers have every right to expect the same from their audio talent.
